What does REKA do?

REKA is a technology R&D and innovation partner. We help organisations see what is worth changing, prove what is worth building, engineer new technology and advance it in operation. AI, automation, sensing, robotics, autonomous systems, software and hardware are tools; progress is the outcome.

From Home and About REKA

What services does REKA offer?

REKA works through SEE → PROVE → BUILD → ADVANCE. Consulting & Advisory finds what is worth changing; Custom Build & R&D engineers what does not exist yet; Intelligent Automation improves repetitive operational work and can be run for you as Managed AI. A valid proof can also conclude that something should not be built.

From How we work

What is Managed AI?

Managed AI is how REKA can operate the AI inside an Intelligent Automation engagement. We host it, monitor it, improve it and keep it reliable. When data cannot leave your environment, it can run inside your walls. REKA first checks whether AI is the right tool for the outcome.

What is the difference between Intelligent Automation and Managed AI?

Intelligent Automation is what work gets done: the busywork orchestrated, with a human in the loop where it matters. Managed AI is who keeps it running: the AI underneath, hosted, monitored, improved, kept reliable. Most partnerships use both.

What is AntaraX?

When research becomes repeatable, some problems REKA has solved repeatedly deserve to become products. That is why REKA created AntaraX. REKA explores, researches, prototypes, engineers and validates; AntaraX productises, deploys, operates and scales. REKA links to those products but does not sell them. Start with Yara or explore AntaraX at antarax.ai.

Did REKA build Malaysia’s first self-driving car?

Yes. REKA called the project CRETA: a retrofit kit for an ordinary car, run by a controller board REKA designed itself. By the end of 2016 the car, a Proton Waja, drove from Melaka to Kuala Lumpur on the PLUS Highway with no one at the wheel, and it was Malaysia’s first self-driving car on open roads.

How do I start working with REKA?

Tell us what is slow, manual or hard to see in your operation through Talk to us or by writing to [email protected]. We aim to reply within one business day. Many partnerships start with an Opportunity Session or a focused proof. If an AntaraX product already solves most of the problem, we will point you to it instead of custom-building a duplicate.
