YARA is a work-order and job-card tracking platform for operations teams, made by REKA in Malaysia. Every customer order becomes a Work Order that moves through the company's own stages. Workers update their jobs with one tap on their phone, and YARA turns those taps into live order status, working time, a complete history and a short list of what needs a manager, without the weight of an ERP.

## How it works, in seven steps

1. **Every order becomes one Work Order.** A customer PO becomes a Work Order with its customer, PO number, quantity, due date and priority. One PO can hold many parts, each its own Work Order under one Project.
2. **It runs through your own stages.** Each company defines its stages, for example Design, Laser cut, Bending, Welding, QC, Delivery, or Survey, Install, Test, Handover. Admins edit stages in the app. A stage can require a photo or document before it closes.
3. **Workers tap Start.** Each worker sees only their own jobs, in the order to do them. One tap on Start stamps the time and moves the Work Order to In progress; the supervisor's board and the history update at the same moment.
4. **Priorities, proof and holds are handled on the floor.** Marking an order urgent moves it up the worker's queue without displacing a job already running. Completing a stage can require a photo and releases the next stage. A hold records its reason and pauses the working clock. A stage cannot start before the earlier stages on the same order are complete.
5. **Every job leaves a trail.** YARA records who did each stage, when, and for how long. Working time counts only minutes inside the company's working calendar (shifts and holidays) and excludes holds.
6. **Managers see only what needs them.** A Needs attention list shows stages running past plan (thresholds set per company), orders due soon with stages left, and work that is ready but not started.
7. **Everyone sees their part.** Workers see their jobs, supervisors see the orders they lead, and only owners and operations managers see order values and job costs. The rule is enforced in the database and applies to exports.

## Frequently asked questions

**What is YARA?** A work-order and job-card tracking platform for operations teams. Orders move through your stages; workers tap Start, Hold or Complete; YARA derives status, working time, history and alerts from those taps.

**Do workers need to install an app?** No app store is needed. YARA runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen. Worker screens are in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

**Is YARA an ERP?** No. It covers orders, stages, people, time and status, and runs alongside whatever handles inventory, accounting and payroll.

**Who can see order values and costs?** Only owners and operations managers. Supervisors never see order values; workers never see commercial data.

**How is working time calculated?** Only minutes inside the working calendar count, and time on hold is excluded. Clock time from start to finish can overstate working time by a large multiple.

**What happens when an order becomes urgent?** Queue order is active work first, then ready jobs by priority, due date and arrival. Urgent orders move up; a running job is never displaced.

**How are job costs worked out?** For owners and operations managers: working hours × the rate for each stage. Rates are effective-dated, so changing a rate never rewrites a closed job.

**Which industries is YARA for?** Any team whose work moves through stages: metal fabrication, light manufacturing, contracting and installation, field service, print and packaging. It was built with a Malaysian metal fabricator.

**Is each company's data separate?** Yes. Data is isolated per organisation at the database level, and deactivating a person or organisation locks them out immediately.

**How do we start?** Book a walkthrough from https://reka.re/yara/#health-check. It starts with the four-question Operational Health Check; REKA follows up on the result and walks one of your real orders through YARA.
